Configuring Opayo Server by Elavon Module for osCommerce 2.3
This manual explains how to configure the Opayo Server by Elavon payment module for osCommerce 2.3, allowing you to securely accept Opayo Server payments in your online store.
Ensure you have installed the Opayo Server by Elavon module. Refer to the manuals "Installing Opayo Server by Elavon module for osCommerce 2.3 via Installer" and via "Zip File" for detailed instructions.
1) Install the Module (If Required)
- If installing via Zip File: click on the Opayo Server by Elavon module and then on the Install Module button.
- If installing via Installer: the installation will be done automatically by the Installer.
2) Obtain Vendor Login Name
1. Check the message highlighted in yellow in the module settings.
2. If you do not yet have a vendor login name, click Visit Elavon Website link.
3. Fill in the required fields and submit your request.
4. Wait for a call from an Elavon payment specialist to confirm your request.
5. After your account is created, you will receive an email containing your vendor login name.
3) Verify API Connection
1. Return to the Opayo Server by Elavon module settings.
2. Click Test API Server Connection to verify successful communication with the gateway.
3. Click Edit to open the module configuration.
4) Configure Module Settings
1. Enable the option to accept Opayo Server payments.
2. Enter your vendor login name.
3. Select the API version:
- API 3.00
- API 4.00 (required for 3DS Version 2 / SCA)
4. Choose the transaction processing method:
- Authenticate – checks card validity
- Deferred – blocks a small amount
- Payment – processes the full amount immediately
Depending on the transaction method the corresponding order status is set. In turn, when the order status is switched to the required one and if only the small amount of money was previously blocked, the system will process the whole payment.
5. Set the order status for transactions made with this module.
6. Enable the option to include transaction information at the selected order status level.
7. Select a payment zone if the payment method should be restricted to a specific region.
8. Choose whether to process transactions on the production or testing server.
9. Enable SSL certificate verification for the transaction server.
10. Send API requests through this proxy server - host:port, for example: 123.45.67.89:8080 or proxy.example.com:8080.
11. Enter a debug email address to receive details of invalid transactions.
12. Set the sort order for displaying this payment method (lower values appear first).
13. Click Save to complete configuration.
