Enabling Email Verification Before Registration

This manual explains how to enable and use the Email Verification Before Registration functionality.

Use the following manual to explore the functionality in detail.


1) Access the Configuration Settings

1.1. Log in to the admin area of your website.

1.2. Go to Settings → Configuration → Customer Details.

1.3. Locate the Email Verification Before Registration option in the list.

1.4. Click the Edit button.

2) Enable the Functionality

2.1. Select the True radio button to enable the feature.

2.2. Click Update to save your changes.

3) Test the Email Verification Process

3.1. On the front end of your website, go to the My Account section.

3.2. Click Register to Save Your Details.

3.3. Fill in the required registration fields.

3.4. Click the Start Email Validation button.

4) Complete Email Verification

4.1. A verification code will be sent to the email address you entered.

4.2. Check your email and copy the verification code.

4.3. Enter the code into the provided field on the website.

4.4. Agree to the required policy terms.

4.5. Click Create to complete the registration.

Your new customer account is now successfully created and verified.
