This manual explains how to install the Blog module and manage blog categories, tags, and posts on your website.

Follow the steps below to set up and maintain your blog effectively.

1) Installing the Blog Module

  1. Log in to the admin area of your website.
  2. Open App ShopStore.
  3. Use the Quick Search field to find the Blog module.
  4. Click Install to add the module to your website.

2) Configuring the Blog Module

1. Open ModulesExtensions

2. Find Blog in the Extension Modules list, then click Edit.

Here you can configure:

  • Blog status
  • Base URL
  • XML sitemap
  • Blog availability per sales channel

3) Managing Blog Categories

1. Navigate to Design and CMS → Blog → Categories

2. Add or manage categories:

  • Click New category to create a new category.
  • Click Edit to update an existing category.
  • Click Delete to remove the selected category.


3. While adding or editing a category, fill in or update the available fields and options as needed.


4) Managing Blog Tags

1. Within the Blog section, click the Tags tab.

2. Add or manage tags:

  • Click New tag to create a new tag.
  • Click Edit to modify an existing tag.
  • Click Delete to remove a selected tag.


3. While adding or editing a tag, fill in or update the available fields and options.


5) Managing Blog Posts

1. Click the Posts tab within the Blog section.

2. Add or manage posts:

  • Click Create post to create a new post.
  • Click Edit to modify a post.
  • Click Delete to remove a selected post.
  • Use the Status and RSS switches to enable or disable posts.
  • Perform batch actions (Tags update or Category update) by selecting multiple posts and clicking the corresponding action buttons.


6) Editing Blog Posts – Detailed Tabs

Each blog post contains several configuration tabs.

1. Name and Description Tab

Here you can:

  • Enable/disable the post using Status and RSS switches
  • Fill in or update:
    • Date Added
    • Title
    • Description
    • Description links
    • Short description

2. Category & Tag Tab

Assign categories and tags to the post:

  • Select items in the Blog category or Blog tag sections.
  • Click the >> icon to assign them.
  • Assigned items appear in Assigned categories and Assigned tags.
  • Remove items using the trash icon.
  • Rearrange their order by dragging them using the hand icon.


3. Main Tab

Manage images for the post:

  • Add Gallery and Hero images by:
    • Uploading from your computer
    • Dragging files into the upload area
    • Selecting images from your gallery
  • Delete an image with the trash icon.
  • Unlink an image using the unlink icon.
  • Follow on-screen instructions regarding image requirements.


4. SEO Tab

Fill in or update SEO-related fields and options to improve the visibility of your post.


5. Products Tab

Assign products to the post:

  • Select products in the Find products section.
  • Click >> to assign them.
  • Assigned products appear in the Assigned products section.
  • Remove products using the trash icon.
  • Rearrange their order by dragging them using the hand icon.


6. Assign/Restrict Tab

Assign the post to specific sales channels:

  • Switch each sales channel on or off depending on where the post should appear.

Your blog is now fully set up, and you can continue creating and managing categories, tags, and posts to maintain an engaging content experience for your website visitors.
