Managing Front Ends

1) Access Sales Channels

  1. Log in to your website’s Admin area.
  2. Go to Sales channels.
  3. Select the required tab:
    • Physical
    • Virtual
    • Marketplaces

2) Add or Manage Sales Channels

  • To add a new sales channel, click Add Sales Channel.
  • To switch a channel on/off, use the Status switch.
  • To change display order, drag and drop the channels in the list.
  • To find a channel quickly, use the Quick Search (search by name or URL).

After you click on the required front end, you can edit it, assign categories and products, configure, copy, choose theme, configure localization and working timetable, set up watermark by clicking on the corresponding buttons.


3. Edit a Sales Channel

  • Click Edit → view/update sections with the required information.

Note: If you add a new sales channel, also set up its URL on your server (in Sales channel URL field under General section).

  • Click Assign categories/products → bulk assign products/categories.
    • Use the pop-up window.
    • Click the + icon to expand subcategories/products.
    • Select/deselect items using checkboxes or the Select all/Deselect all buttons.


  • Click Configuration → edit or delete options.
    • Select the option group from the dropdown.
    • Manage options using the buttons provided.


  • Click Copy → duplicate the sales channel in one click.

  • Click Choose theme → assign or review the theme for this channel.

  • Click on the Configure localization → set:
    • languages and currencies
    • date and time formats
    • location service
    • Access restrictions (by geo zone or country)

  • Click Configure working timetable → set opening hours, postal cut off times and holidays by selecting the required days and time from the drop-down list and calendar.

Click Setup watermark → enable watermarks.

  • Select image size (big, medium, small)
  • Upload image(s) from the gallery

4) Assign Options to Sales Channels

After you set up a required front end as described above, you can use it for assigning different options to it. While filtering products and categories, you can filter them per the required front end by checking the box next to the required front end.


Products

  • While adding/editing a product, go to Assign/Restrict tab.
  • In the Assign column, switch on the required front end.


Other product tabs:

  • Price and Cost → prices are recalculated per front end based on Languages and Currencies.
  • Name and Description → assign values to a specific front end.


  • SEO → assign SEO values to a specific front end.

Note: All the rest of the product tabs are not front end specific.


Categories

  • While adding/editing a category, go to Assign/Restrict tab.
  • Switch on the required front end in the Assign column.


Orders

  • While filtering orders, check the box next to the required front end.


Customers

  • While filtering customers, check the box next to the required front end.


  • While adding/editing a customer, choose the front end from the dropdown list.


5) Front End–Specific Elements

All the SEO highlighted options under all the tabs are front end specific.


The Menus are front end specific.


While adding/editing an email template, you can assign it to a certain front end by clicking on the corresponding tab.


The Payment modules (both online and offline) are front end specific.


The Shipping modules are front end specific.
