Managing German Post Shipping

This manual explains how to install, configure, and manage the German Post Shipping module to integrate German Post shipping services into your website and control shipping behavior during checkout.

1) Module Installation

  1. Log in to the admin area of your website.
  2. Navigate to App Shop → Store.
  3. Use the search field to locate the German Post Shipping module.
  4. Click Install to start the installation process.
  5. Follow any on-screen instructions until the installation is completed.

2) Accessing Module Settings

  1. After installation, navigate to Modules → Shipping → Offline.
  2. Locate the German Post module in the list.
  3. Click Edit to open the module configuration page.

3) Configuring Restrictions

1. In the Restrictions section, define the availability of German Post Shipping by:

  • Customer groups
  • Countries
  • Website pages

2. Enable tracking to allow customers to view shipment status.

3. Specify the shipping module name in the required language for both:

  • Backend display
  • Frontend display

4) Configuring General Settings

1. In the Settings section, enable German Post Shipping for your website.

2. Enter a handling fee in the corresponding field, if applicable.

3. Select the appropriate tax class from the drop-down list.

4. Choose the applicable shipping zone:

  • All World
  • USA
  • EU


5) Managing Delivery Dates and Ownership

  1. Configure delivery date behavior by selecting one of the following options:
    • Use default
    • Use ownership
  2. Define preferred delivery date rules based on your shipping requirements.
  3. Disable specific delivery days by selecting the checkbox next to the relevant day(s) of the week.

6) Setting Shipping Priority

  1. Locate the required Shipping Priority field.
  2. Enter a numeric value to define display order during checkout.
  3. Use lower values to prioritize German Post Shipping above other shipping methods.

7) Configuring Weight-Based Shipping Rules

  1. Define product weight thresholds to control shipping charges.
  2. Set shipping costs based on:
    • Order weight ranges
    • Selected shipping zones
  3. Ensure all required weight ranges are covered to avoid shipping calculation gaps.

8) Saving Configuration

  1. Review all configured settings for accuracy.
  2. Click Update to save your changes and apply the configuration.

Once configured, the German Post Shipping module enables reliable shipping rate calculation, delivery control, and shipment tracking, improving both order fulfillment efficiency and customer experience.
