Managing Quotations

This manual explains how to install, configure, and use the Quotations module. This feature allows customers to request quotations for products directly from your website and enables administrators to manage, process, and convert these requests into orders.

1) Module Installation:

1. Log in to the Admin area of your website.
2. Go to Modules → Extensions.
3. Use the Quick Search option to find the Quotations module.
4. Click Edit to open its settings.

2) Module Configuration:

Within the Settings section, you can configure quotation options:

• Toggle to enable/disable the module.
• Enable the Quote fast order option.
• Choose whether to show quantity input for the quote button.
• Enable or disable shipping estimates for quotations.
• Enable or disable the Show price for quote product option.

• Click Update to save changes.

3) Product Configuration:

• Navigate to the Products/Catalogue section.
• Select the product you want to configure.

• Under the Main details tab, activate the Request for quote option.

4) Customer Interaction (Front End)

1. On the storefront, customers can find the product and click Request for Quote.

2. In the pop-up window, click Go to Cart.

3. Click Request for Quote again.

4. Choose how to proceed.

5. Fill in the required fields, and click Confirm and Pay.

6. The system displays a confirmation screen, and the customer receives a confirmation email.

5) Quotation Handling in Admin Area

• New quotations appear in the admin area with the status Awaits confirmation.

• Logged-in users can also view their quotation details by clicking Quotation Info.

6) Order Processing

1. The administrator changes the status to Processed.
2. The quotation transforms into an order, and the corresponding link appears.
3. The system automatically sends status update emails and generates invoices.

7) Customer Interaction (Post Order)

• The new order appears in Pending status.

• From their account, customers can:
  • Reorder products.
  • View the order in the Order History section.

• By clicking View, customers can take further actions using the available buttons.
