Trial and Hosting Information

  • Installing osCommerce 4.x on the osCommerce server includes a 30-day free trial.
  • After the trial, you can:
    • Continue using osCommerce hosting at an affordable price, or
    • Move your website to another hosting provider.


This manual explains how to install osCommerce 4.x via the Install osCommerce for me option. This method provides a quick setup with 4 sales channels and 4 corresponding themes installed automatically.

Start with the video for a quick introduction to this functionality.

For detailed guidance, please refer to the manual below.


1) Starting the Installation

1. Navigate to https://www.oscommerce.com/

2. Click on the Try with osCommerce host button.

2) Account Access

  1. Log in to your existing osCommerce account, or
  2. Create a new account by clicking on the appropriate option.

3) Subdomain Setup

  1. Fill in the required fields.
  2. Click on the Check subdomain availability button.

4) Choosing Installation Method

1. Select the Install osCommerce for me option.

2. (Optional) Click on the Display optional extra fields button if you want to provide additional details.

  • You can also skip this step and fill in these fields later in the administrator area.

3. If you prefer the short form, click Back to short form, complete the required fields, and then click on the Submit request button.

5) Confirmation and Welcome Email

1. A success page will appear, asking you to wait for the confirmation email.

2. In the welcome email, you will receive:

  • Login details for the administrator area of your website.
  • FTP access details.
  • Database access details.

6) Accessing Your Website

Log in to the administrator area of your website by:

  • Clicking on the backend link in the welcome email, or
  • Opening your website link and navigating to the administrator area from there.

Your osCommerce 4.x installation is now ready with 4 active sales channels and their corresponding themes.
