Updating to the Newest osCommerce v4 with AppShop

This manual explains how to update your osCommerce installation to the latest v4 version using AppShop.

1) Access the AppShop

Open the admin area of your website and navigate to the AppShop section.

2) Go to the System Update tab

Open the System Update tab to view your current osCommerce version and the available update to the newest version.

3) Start the update process

Click the Update now button to begin updating.

4) Observe the update progress

You will see the update process start. Scroll down to follow its progress.

5) Review the list of modified files

If any files differ from the original version, the system will display a screen showing these files.

Review this list carefully.

6) Decide whether to keep or overwrite modified files

If you have not customized your osCommerce files, it is recommended to leave the list unchanged.

7) Apply the update

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the FORCE UPDATE EXCLUDE MARK link.

You will see the update process continue, highlighted with blue lines.

8) Confirm the update completion

Scroll to the bottom of the screen again to confirm that the update has been successfully applied.
